The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board is a publicly-funded school board that provides excellence in Catholic education to over 12,000 students in 32 elementary schools, five secondary schools and five adult learning sites, two outdoor learning centres and employs over 1,400 full-time equivalent staff.
The ALCDSB covers a wide geographic area of more than 16,000 square kilometres from Whitney in the north, Picton in the South, Trenton in the West and Kingston in the East.

Mentoring support available at school sites and through collaborative networks.
FSL Steering Committee
The FSL Steering Committee is a group of FSL educator champions who advocate, support, and create resources for FSL programs board wide.
Central Staff Support
Dedicated Special Assignment Teacher to focus on FSL instructional support and guidance during one-on-one, small group, and larger professional development sessions.
Funding for Professional Development
Funding opportunities for association memberships (OMLTA, ACPI, CASLT), DELF training, and Additional Qualifications in FSL.
Authentic Learning Experiences
Cultural experiences for both students and FSL educators are encouraged and funded.
Resources
Fulsome classroom and professional resources are provided with ongoing training and support. These centre around the Science of Reading, oral communication, and action-oriented tasks.
